THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARDEli Heller is an 8th grade ELA teacher at Burr Elementary. He's a California native, from Los Angeles but attended an east coast college, Colgate University. He's a skateboarder, golfer, Lakers fan, and an avid antique finder.
"What's Good" THE COMMUNITY OUTREACH CHAIRAlison Oreh teaches Spanish at HPHS: Nursing. She is originally from Ohio but went to college at the University of Michigan. Like many TFAers, Alison has a lot on her plate, she teaches SAT classes on top of her HPHS gig, and chairs Community Outreach for the committee. She likes pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. She IS into yoga though, so....
"GPS I love you." THE MENTORING CHAIRMatt Breglio teaches 7th & 8th grade Science at McDonough Expeditionary Learning School (M.E.L.S.). He grew up in CT and graduated from Boston College. In addition to being a mad scientist, he's an avid golfer, drummer, and closet philosopher.
"And the ceiling can't hold us.." THE EDUCATION CHAIRDanielle is 2011 CM who has taught 1st grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade. She is currently teaching 1st grade at Parkville Community School. She enjoys watching UMaine Black Bear hockey, and spending countless hours making the most extravagant posters you can imagine.

THE SOCIAL CHAIRChelsea Usher is a 9th grade ELA teacher at High School, Inc. She's from southern California and she's a graduate from UC Riverside who loves to read, write witty poems about nothing in particular, and watching the Seahawks!
"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." THE MENTORING CHAIRGenna Waldvogel teaches Chemistry at HPHS: LGA. She spent the summer biking from Iowa back to Connecticut, so if you're into that, hit her up. Real talk though, last year was rough for her, so joining the group was her way to remind everyone that it's okay to have a bad day.
"I absolutely love science and forcing children to also love science." THE EDUCATION CHAIRChris Hils is a 2012 CM who taught 6th grade last year. He's now teaching 2nd grade at Dwight/Bellizzi Asian Studies Academy. He's a big fan of educational policy, listless philosophical debates and long walks on the beach -- obviously.
"I come off as a post-ironic hipster sociopath or a plain old nerd." THE OVERSEERMichelle is an MTLD coaching secondary teachers in Hartford, CT. Originally from Hebron, CT, life has brought her back full circle after her corps experience teaching 7th grade math (and coaching basketball) at Brownsville Middle School in Miami, Florida. Go Falcons! On a lighter note, she's always good for a hug, loves to sing, dance, and generally just be bubbly and amazing all the time. What a REBEL!
